The "Build Walls" tool is an option in the radial wheel when you click and hold down the right mouse button (default). Can also be switched to by use the "5" key (default). It is unlocked through the Additional walls job.

Tool Use

The "Build Walls" tool is used to build walls to change the overall layout of a house, by placing walls by singular pillars either against the floor, ceiling, or adjacent wall. By holding down left click (default) a loading bar in the shape of a circle will steadily fill until the wall is completely constructed, which can be interrupted at any time.

Additional Notes

• Most jobs do not require this tool with a few exceptions who want a different layout.

Each wall pillar will go from the floor to ceiling (of a standard height size - walls can still be placed within a room with a high ceiling and a floor above, but will only reach the the lowest part of the upper floor).

• Walls cannot be placed directly against windows or fixtures like light switches.
• Before constructing a wall pillar, you will see an example of how the final pillar will look. You can double check its location by looking on the minimap, where your "example wall" will be blue.
  • Completed walls are always in white on the minimap.
• The default cost for each wall pillar is $14.05 USD.
