Demolition Tool

The "Demolition" tool is a option in the radial wheel when you click and hold down the right mouse button (default). Can also be switched to by use the "7" key (default) when indoors, and the "8" key (default) when outdoors. It is unlocked through the Additional walls job.

Tool Use[]

The "Demolition" tool is used to destroy walls to change the overall layout of a house, by demolishing walls by singular pillars. Each wall section takes 2-5 hits to fully demolish, while each lintel is 1 hit. Exterior walls cannot be removed, but any interior walls can be demolished.

Additional Notes[]

Most jobs do not require this tool with a few exceptions who want a different layout.
The difference between the three types of upgrades/perks are a little difficult to discern, but are as follows:
- Passionate hammer master - the character swings the hammer faster.
- Triceps of steel - the force of strikes is stronger, which can result in fewer hits when placed correctly.
- Better equipment - gain access to better hammers. Increase the speed of work, especially when placing hits correctly.
A general tip is to work from the very top of the wall pillar to the bottom (1 hit on top, 1 hit in center, 1 hit on the bottom, whilehighlighting as large of an area as you can).
- When you have more upgrades, you can frequently collapse an entire area of walls (5+ pillars) in only a few hits hits total if you break the top of each wall pillar, then hit both of the lower-left and lower-right corners of the section you are working in.
  - You'll know if you're successful if you see a bunch of the wall polygons fall at once into the floor, and the yellow is gone from the minimap.

This option removes wall blocks that are not an outside wall as of update 19.05.2018.
April Fools Update
- On April 1st, the sledgehammer is replaced with a gun. The gun can destroy walls in an instant.
  - If there is heating or bathroom installation pipes in the wall that you are demolishing you will cause Broken pipes issue.
