Spike "Gunmetal" Nelson hopes that the mild seaside climate of Moonrise Bay will help him get back in shape after an injury, which can eliminate him from the ring for the whole next season. He also wants to keep this temporary indisposition private and dodge the incoming hit from nosy reporters. The never-finished mansion on the town's cliffside seems to fulfill both the requirements perfectly.
