The Family Room is one of the many types of Rooms that can be created within House Flipper. A space must be completely enclosed within walls and lintels to be counted as its own room. A Room can only have one label at a time (can be seen in the middle right of the screen while standing in the room).
Buyers that have "Family" in their title are often interested in this room type.
Requirements[]
To officially label a Room as a "Family Room", it must have a minimum size of 12 m^2, and it must have a minimum of the following SEVEN fixtures/furniture:
- Sofa
- Coffee Table
- TV Stand
- TV
- Kid's toy
- Carpet
- Bookcase/Bookshelf OR Picture
Additional Notes[]
- For the bookshelf, any furniture piece with "Bookcase", "Bookshelf", or "Bookstand" in its name will count. Hanging shelves or any regular Shelf will not count.
- TV stand and carpet is necessary which conflicts with requirements template above. Kitchen cabinet will not convert to Family Room in replacement of TV Stand.
Room Conversion[]
This room can be converted back into a Living Room by removing any of the following: TV, Carpet, Toy, Bookcase OR Picture, Kitchen Cupboard OR TV Cabinet.
This room can also be converted into a "Family Room with a Kitchenette" if you add a Kitchen Sink and an Oven, similar to a Living Room with Kitchenette,
